Clarksdale High School is a shining example of our community's commitment to public education.

Keeping Up With the Information Age

In today's exciting world of instant communications and information, we know the imprortance of the right learning environment and the right tools. Clarksdale and Coahoma County are committed to quality education.

Our commitment to public education was made quite clear when voters passed a 7.8 million dollar bond issue for Clarksdale's new high school by a margin of 73%! The new school is fully air-conditioned and features state-of-the-art computer facilities which permit interactive learning statewide.

Providing the Best

Coahoma Community College is located just northeast of Clarksdale, and its Workforce Development Center is located in the Sunbelt Industrial Park. They can assist new business with no-cost, customized job training programs.

Higher education is also a plus for our residents. A new higher education center offers a variety of undergraduate and graduate courses. Housed in the historic Cutrer Mansion, the center offers courses from Delta State University and Coahoma Community College.
